Scott flew to the secret compound of 102 Degrees Management hidden in a plush beach town in South Florida. In between cruising the Atlantic and touring all of the best restaurants, Scott met with the Heavy Pets to pre-produce their upcoming release. Scott was so impressed by the band's material and performances of some 40-odd songs, it was decided to pursue a double album. One set of songs, loud and electric - the second, soft and acoustic.

Immediately after the week of pre-production, The Heavy Pets followed Scott out of the Sunshine State and into the California rain to begin their ambitious project.
